Seed to the Sower
POEM OF THE MONTH Faith Seeds Being faithful in the small things Will make you faithful over much The dreams for your bright future Will be close enough to touch For everyday you touch them As you live for Me The beginnings of the redwood trees Start with little seeds You shall be tall and fruitful As in faithfulness you grow As your roots drink from the river Where the Holy Spirit flows You shall have your heart’s desire As you trust in Me I am currently preparing Things that will one day be You will be all I have said You will live in peace You will teach My people How the Christian life shall be Now your job is just to learn And to live the life of love As you embrace new life events You’ll continue as you’ve done Stay faithful in the small things Make priorities a key Living will be joyous When you live for Me SandraPopp?2005 *********************************************************** 5 As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. 6 Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let not your hands be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well Ecclesiastes 11:5-6 *********************************************************** Its hurricane season once again on the Texas coast. I know so many people that will stay glued to the T.V. when they hear about a tropical storm out in the ocean waters. They sit idle and won’t go out much or do much of anything but talk about the storm to come. They waste so much time waiting for something that may never come. The scripture so aptly explains that, we don’t know the way of the wind. Unless of course we are in the path and must evacuate, we should continue our work and not let distractions pull us away or make us idle. Indecision and perfectionism can often be crippling factors as well. I see that verse six tells us that we should sow the seed that is in our hands. I will sometimes stand in the field with a handful of proverbial seeds wondering which one I should take the time to plant. God says that He gives seed to the sower. If you have seeds in your hand, you need to sow them. Don’t worry about which one will produce and which will not. He’s big enough to take care of our harvest. Look around He’s done a good job on other things. ***********************************************************
