What Love Is
How do you know that you are loved? How do you express love to someone close to you? Love is not found in $3.00 cards and $15.00 candy and $40.00 flowers, it is more valuable than those tokens. Love is simpler but also more difficult than the act of giving a gift. Love is the daily sacrifice of putting others before ourselves. 1 Corinthians 13:3 And if I bestow all my goods to feed 'the poor', and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profiteth me nothing. What Love Is Love is being patient Love is being kind Love is giving of yourself Love is making time Love embraces God When people seem untrue Love is reaching out to those Who humbly reach to you Love gives to a neighbor Expecting nothing back It reaches out with grace and power Bringing fullness to one’s lack Love is a mighty King Who forsook a crown above To lift us from our sin and death And embrace us with His love
